US Supreme Court

I think it is a good thing for my blood pressure that I am not in the US right now. With John Roberts getting confirmed as Chief Justice and Harriet Miers getting nominated to replace Sandra Day O'Connor, my female reproductive organs hurt in anticipation of having them controlled by the US government.

Yes, I'm in favor of a woman's right to choose what to do with her own body. That doesn't mean I'm in favor of abortion because I wouldn't wish that on anyone. It would be great if there was adequate sex education at an appropriate age in school, adequate health care for everyone in the US, adequate birth control available to everyone, not just those who can afford it. Adequate punishment for rapists that would cause the crime rates to actually go down. But alas, there are not these things in the US. And on top of that, the people in charge feel it is necessary to impose their religious and idealogy on the rest of us. (I'm fine with them believing what they believe, but don't force it on me. Be prepared for a swift kick in your reproductive areas if you try.)

I reiterate what that picture of Bush said:
My thought exactly!
