Welcome Anjali! - A Movement In Time And Space — LiveJournal
Moving through time and space in our own way
Welcome Anjali!
My sister had a baby girl on September 20th at 7:38am (US WestCoast time). Anjali Sita weighed in at 6 pounds, 12 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches tall. According to my Mom, she has lots of black hair too. Preeti had a scheduled c-section due to complications in her previous pregnancies. I'm so happy that she and Anjali are safe and sound! Can't wait to see pictures. I will post them here when I get some from them.

I really wish I was there. My sister is my best friend. But it has been such that Preeti was not able to come for the births of my girls and I haven't been able to go the births of her kids. Of all the people in the world...*sigh* I'm feeling a little sad about this fact right now. Being so far away sucks big time.

I bet... My sister had tons of black hair when she was born. I, on the other hand was born practically devoid of any lanugo. I looked so different from my sister that my mother suspected the nurse had brought her the wrong baby.

I am sorry to hear that you missed out on welcoming the newest member of the family. That's always a little disheartening...

Aww...it's hard being away. It's part of life that we have to deal with. It's tough too. But it makes you so happy to see them when you finally do get to do so.

I love my sister too. We kinda didn't talk too much when I was in college and she was still in highschool, etc...then she got married and I got married...and then I don't know...one time she sent me a small gift box. It had a lot of cool things in it. So I sent her one. Then she'd send me one. Then I'd send her one...back and forth...it's going on still years later. We don't do it just for birthdays, but just because "I found a bunch of stuff you might like". ;D It's fun and has brought us much closer. We talk now on the phone at least once a week or more. Darn it though she doesn't have internet. :D

Congratulations to Preeti and her family! We are so happy for them!

I know how hard it is for you to be far away. I wasn't as far, but I did miss the birth of my nephew (who is only three weeks younger than Hallie) in Maryland. My brother and I are very close, too, so it was hard not to be there with him.

peace -
