Ok, I'm hooked. I didn't want to be as there is still a small part of me that blames GoPets for all the recent upheaval in my life. But I got sucked in. Probably cause Maya is so addicted to the game too. But I think I'm more hooked on the forums...the commmunity of users. I've grown to care for the frequent posters there. Some are well on their way to being good friends of mine. Thank goodness for that, otherwise I'd have no one to chat with all day long (other than the kids, of course).

If you don't know, GoPets is a virtual pet game, but with more than just the pet. Your pet, which is totally customizable to your liking, travels the GoPets network and plays with other pets and their owners. And that's how you, the owner, get friends as well. It is a community game, not just one you play by yourself.

Anyway, I've also gotten involved in the GoPets Newsletter. In the space of 12 hours, I've said that I would write a regular feature and do an interview for the next newsletter. Yikes! How did that happen? LOL Actually, I'm excited. WIth Peter Jennings' death on my brain lately (today's Larry King Live was about Jennings' death again), I've been wanting to get back to my writing. I have all these ideas for journal entries and possible articles that I want to write and maybe submit to some magazines, but I need the push to do it. I need to better organize my time. Maybe writing for the GoPets newsletter will do that - I will have firm deadlines. Accountability to others is a good thing for me. :-)
