My Korean is... - A Movement In Time And Space
Moving through time and space in our own way
My Korean is...
good?? LOL

I went to the store last night on the way back from dinner to get some milk for the girls. Chris took them home while I went on my own (my few minutes of solitude spent at the store!). I went in, the clerk said, "Anyong haseyo" and I said it back. I went to get my stuff (some strawberry milk, almond milk (yum!) and regular milk and some rice triangles for me!) and went to pay. Of course, the clerk started talking to me. I had no idea what he said, and I said "I don't understand..." He stopped talking then and kept ringing up my purchases. Then, in slow but actually pretty good English, he said, "I was saying your Korean is good". LOL! So, I guess my pronunciation of hello in Korean is pretty good - good enough to make others think I can actually understand or speak Korean.

I felt pretty good for the rest of the evening. :-)

What I'm feeling: cheerful cheerful

You know what? It is actually banana milk, but it is pretty sweet and I keep thinking it is almond milk! Tastes like almonds to me, which is really funny because I dislike bananas... :-)

Re: DOH!

I don't like bananas myself but maybe I'll try it...I'll take your word for it!
