We are *definitely* doing something right
The tooth fairy visited Maya last night. It was hard for Chris to reach up on her top bunk to get the itty bitty tooth and replace it with the coins. LOL He had to go in there three times, because the first time, he couldn't find it and the second time, Maya woke up! She woke up, reached under her pillow and said, "When is the tooth fairy going to come?". He finally was able to get it done (standing on a chair) the third time.

She got two 500 Won coins (500 Won is roughly 50 cents, so she got a dollar total). And guess what she did first thing when she woke up and found them?

She gave one coin to Nadia so she could buy something at the store too. When I told her for the 15th time (LOL) that I was proud of her, she said, "MOM! I didn't need the other coin and Nadia is my sister."

I am so proud of her. Just thinking of what she did makes me tear up again. What an amazing big sister she is. When I told her again today that I was proud of her, she said, "Well, I didn't need the other coin and Nadia is my sister."

OK, so the tooth picture didn't freak me out as much as I thought it would!

And you have every reason to well up and be proud of what she did. That is so sweet, and obviously proves she has awesome parents who are teaching her all the right things.

LOL Glad you weren't freaked out.

Yes, we're doing something right and hopefully will continue to do so. I hope Maya and Nadia have the kind of relationship that my sister and I have.

Aw! I think that she would love to meet Aunty Payal one day. :-) Although, I'd have to insist on her calling you Payal Aunty. That's how we do it. :-p

That's not how all of us do it. :P

I would say Payal Aunty too, but my sister has asked me to switch to Aunty Payal so that Brian can learn the American way (you know how mean kids can be in school when one of them is slightly different). :)

Awww that's so cute!! Making me all gushy. Maybe you should get one of those tooth fairy boxes/pillows that the kids can use to put their teeth in so when you go to find it, it's easier!

I remember I swallowed one of mine but the 'tooth fairy' still came. I had to write a note to 'her' though =P

Yeah, I was thinking of a box or a pouch or something. I tried to get her to put the tooth wrapped up on the bookshelf in her room, but she was sure the tooth fairy wouldn't find it and we didn't have time to write a note. :-)

Makenzie lost her first tooth (same one as Maya's) 2 weeks ago!

I remember feeling lucky if I got $1 for my tooth. Now my bros get about $5 when they pop one out. It's crazy.

I guess the Korean Toothfairy isn't dealing with as much inflation as our American one?

Gosh, your daughter is such a sweetie. So selfless and loving.
She's an awesome big sister. ^_^

Awesome. I hope my kid turns out to be like that too. Tell her I'm proud of her too - and I don't even know her and I'm this side of the world!!

What a sweet girl she is? It's amazing how kids are, never ceases to amaze me their potential. Just goes to show you how much she must love Nadia, then again who wouldn't?
